Just for me? Wow! But I do doubt that you are referring to me looking at you in the pool as opposed to some fair maiden.

| Thank you for the reminder that far too many of us forget the power of imaginings that serve to keep reality from smothering us with darkness. Would that we might all find the periodic moments to think and or write our own "this poem is for you." Such contemplations are why sentient ability is seldom without its need to express. One can only pity those who ignore the gift, which, when all is said and done, is not reserved exclusively for artists. |

| Ambiguity of person in the third quatrain is the charm and catch of this poem from my angle, with a clue to the puzzle being the word 'shroud.' Veil over immagined image, mirage, or physical presence. I roll this around in my mind like a lozenge and enjoy deciding the flavor. ~~ Diana |

What a marvelous write!
No falsehoods are not.
You are very forthcoming in speaking the truth.
So when the person you speak of quenches their thirst in the cool spring water, they'll know they are drinking in from you the truth.
Hey! This was really cool! (no pun intended)

A beautiful “uncomplicated” poem.
And still you confused me with the last line, seeing my image reflected in the pool
Did you write this with someone in mind or was it your own image you wrote it for.
A very good write Jerry |
