For about four years now in the area in which I live we have been graced by a new neighbor, a bald eagle. How proud he flies!

The eagle was soaring today
Enough of a breeze
He caught it with ease
I couldn't take my eyes away

From this sight I can't take my mind
I few with him high
So high in the sky
When he soared low such an unwind

Oh to float on currents and winds
Connections last long
Like words to a song
Kinda like trees to their limbs

The eagle was soaring today
'Had to get on home
I don't live alone
The eagle came home yesterday

The eagle teaches us to have the courage to strive for greater heights of spirituality. The Eagle is seen by American Indians as a connection to the Great Mystery - The Creator of all things. A sacred messenger that carries prayers to the Creator and returns with gifts and visions.

Eagle is reminding you to take heart and gather your courage, for the Universe is presenting you with an opportunity to soar above the mundane levels of your life. The power of recognizing this opportunity may come in the form of a spiritual test. In being astute, you may recognize the places within your soul, personality, emotions, or psyche that need bolstering or refinement. By looking at the overall tapestry, Eagle teaches you to broaden your sense of self beyond the horizon of what is presently visible.

Love and Light
Lily
(Sorry it was long-winded, you blessed to have the Eagle Jane)

Ah, yes Jane, to watch those magnificent birds doing their things aloft is one of natures true treats, I absolutely love your poem about him.
