“O for the gentleness of old Romance, the simple planning of a minstrel's song!” ~John Keats~

Alike the willow sways our souls

Moonlight tresses how they glow

Gently swaying to and fro

Inner twining as we flow

Lushness of the willow seek

In her folds so gentle meek

Shelter of her wings for thee

Held so soft and tenderly

Traversing contours arc I know

Wholly all how thee grow

Incarnate of soul to mine

Drew me into love divine

Essence of her scent doth spoor

Trailing down to earthen floor

Shadow leaflets touch the moor

For this love is evermore

Oh yes indeed, the romance forgone and forgotten by most of those involved with one the desires and pleasure of the opposite sex. For the most part we don't get much past the lust part before we stop and call that love, n'er realizing what we are missing. This poem brings pure love back into the front and a beautiful, dazzling way.

When souls are so connect, so entwined, there only can be deep and pure love. Only oneness.
This love will really be evermore

Beautiful Carolee and so very deep.
