Stormy weather, rocks my boat..

Stormy Night

by Amber "V" Moonstone

8/11/12

The sky darkened quickly,
while the sunshine faded
into the cloudy expanse
leaving me standing alone.

Bravely, I began to daydream,
holding tight to a vision
that haunted my dreams last night,
I couldn't shake the stormy residue.

I was standing beneath the moonlit evening,
counting the twinkling stars,
when you came to me,
I was captivated by your smile.

I couldn't keep my eyes off of you,
suntanned and seductively beautiful,
I smiled when I saw you coming toward me,
your smile radiated back.

We stood beneath the moonlight,
reaching out to one another,
hands outstretched and eager to feel alive,
it was all that we dreamt about.

The moment our hands touched,
there was such powerful energy,
that we both jumped back,
and began to laugh out loud.

I fell onto the sand,
and you did the same.
It was one of those powerful
moments that I had seen in my dreams.

We just laid there for what seemed like eternity,
and rolled toward one another.
as our bodies collided simultaneously,
we looked deeply into each other's eyes.

The whole story unfolded
as if we both were given truth serom,
professing our undying love and devotion
for each other, we laughed once again, together.

Where did time go?
Each moment spent apart,
could have been so wonderful together,
but now we had that chance.

I reached for your face,
touched you ever so gently,
with love, we both smiled deeply,
and embraced each other.

The first kiss was deeply moving,
a spark that was intoxicating,
contageous, and alluringly gorgeous.
One that will be engrained forever in our souls.

There was a crash of thunder,
a powerful bolt of lightening,
and I was catapulted into the present moment,
Alone, under a cloud covered moonlit night.

The storm, was approaching,
I needed to find shelter,
running back to the cottage,
I saw you standing in the doorway.

I felt as if it were a dream or a mirage,
but it was real, you were there.
I couldn't run fast enough,
you were calling out to me to hurry.

As I got closer I could see your face
you were crying, tears were running down,
I was scared that something had happened,
and I ran faster, my heart pounding.

As I got to the doorway, you vanished,
I was puzzeled, so sure you were there,
I stopped to catch my breath,
and another clap of thunder brought me inside.

As I walked into the kitchen,
I could smell something cooking,
I was completely surprised,
I did not cook anything that day.

It was a familiar smell,
Italian sauce simmering on the stove,
I yelled out your name,
and there was no answer.

Shaking my head, I walked into the bedroom,
nothing was changed,  nor disturbed,
I checked each room and saw nothing unusual.
What is going on I cried out.

The only sound I could hear,
was the stormy weather outside.
I sat down and cried out for answers.
Where are you? What is going on?

I heard laughter, was it in my head?
No, it was coming from the veranda,
I looked out there and among the lightning
and pounding rain, you were dancing.

I opened the patio doors,
and you grabbed me into your arms,
"Sweetness I am here, we are dancing
beneath a stormy night, destiny has called."

This was a wonderful narrative Amber, beautifully
written. Your dream that he discovers what
he should have known all along within himself.
That being his love for you...
Yet, the storm brings within you the fears that
constantly plague you... his leaving
Leaving you once again feeling teased about his love
for you.

But in the end, through all of it he waits for you
with a beautiful ending "destiny"
