This came to me when I realized we all have choices.

Among the chaos and the crime,
All of us must take the time
To filter through the junk and hype
To find the message and the type
Of what person we choose to be.

Look to heaven or look to hell,
We have both in which to dwell.
One path easy, the other hard.
It is a choice, not luck of cards.
We all must choose the life we lead.

See the light or live in darkness.
One is dread with cruel harshness.
One is joy with loving insight.
We can stumble or take delight.
Ask yourself where you choose to be.
