I contemplate virtually un cloudy
yet streaking lightning cloud to
cloud burning an August moon
forever into being a month of
luster to manifest refractions
of our own identities

Salt in our hair, kisses on fire,
exploring each other embraced
lurid be our hot breaths of
August

September's cooling dusk wills
fall for lovers concentrating
scattered energy paying less
attention to anything that
keeps from doing what one
must for eternal happiness
after a burning August of
flaming sexuality evolved into
love when we will become truly
as one

WOW!!!! Hot and passionate on this one. Shame the summer must end. Have a good day and God Bless. George

This reminds me strongly of an old Swedish proverb "A life without love is like a year without summer." You have put into words what we all know instinctively; that the summer of love happens every year.

Salt in our hair, kisses on fire...oh yes, reminds me of a best vacation ever as a newlywed. Passion is everywhere, anytime, in us all. Very warm, even in September. Nice. Be well, Kathy

a passionate wish for a milder time, Vivian;
i no longer experience the desire for climatic change
living as i do where it's hot and humid all year round
but i rejoice in your vision and in your fine expression

And September can't come a minute too soon for me.

You related perfectly the passion spent in these hot August days, eclipsed only by lover's embraces, Vivian.
