i think i am in lust with you
in fact....iím sure i am

maybe i could love you
but frankly i donít know

i do know lust will never be
enough for either one of us

maybe at first but not forever
lust can be a transitory thing

perhaps love can die as well
i doubt it, not in my experience

in my knowledge love is stubborn
refusing to bow to time or death

and since i can honestly admit
to being very much in lust with you

how do i get to point b from a;
lust to love, selfish to unselfish?

do i want a memorable good time
which iím sure we could have

or do i long for a permanence
which would cost us everything?

all i know is iím in lust with you
maybe you are only in lust with me

lust is not a worse thing than love
if you understand the difference

For what is love? What is lust? Can they naught go
hand and hand :) for to love what is beautiful and
desire such is human nature and quite chemical.
But ahhh the beauty of desire how it makes the body
ache with such good feelings. It is where all prose
of romance are born.

If it becomes more then you have a plus for eternity
if you are both compatible.

I have heard it said that lust is a powerful enticement which lets us explore emotionally the depths of potential mates - are we willing to reveal our lifelong wounds to them and trust they will stay with us, help us and we them, as we work with pain long enough, perhaps a lifetime, to heal us both? Nice job getting us right up to the point of decision ...

My dear Don Juan
To lust or not to lust that is the question. Lust is a very powerful emotion. Love is a very deep emotion. The difference is the commitment of the soul connection. When two souls are truly connected there us no difference.
Another powerfully passionate poem from the king of romance.
Nice photo by the way. :)
Peace love and light

fine thinking once again, DJ,
and the use of couplets, never easy
as they often seem contrived, works
excellently here..and yes, you do,
wise man, do know the differences
