It is easy to be impatient cruel, harsh, unkind and cold. But it takes a strong willed person to rise far above the fold. John Michael Domino

When Somebody Does You Wrong

When someone does you wrong you have a choice on how to act.

You can politely ignore them, be kind or get them back and attack.

This is the game of life and satanic spirits are always hanging out and about.

The devil wants you to trip and fall on your face even when you are down and out.

It’s so easy to be cold, angry, and cruel and react in a harsh and negative way.

But how we treat one another will come back to us; it just happens that way.

So when someone does us wrong we really have a choice on how to react.

We can politely ignore them, kill them with kindness or get them back and attack.

It’s our life and God the Father wants us to live in a good and prosperous way.

But He lets us make choices, He will guide if we follow and He waits for us every day.

So when someone does us wrong we can follow the Lord and rebuke those demonic acts.

We can pray for them; treat them with kindness and in time see how they will react.

With God’s gentle way of self control and patience, kindness and peace will surely grow.

Then, with a measure of goodness and faith, joy will come and eternal love will overflow!

Amen!

Against such things there is no law.  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

I especially like: It is so easy to be cold, angry,cruel...
Thank you for reminding us of how,as Christians,we should respond when someone does us wrong.

It's so true John we will never have control over
other people in our life, be it our life circle of
family & friends, or strangers. We only have control
of our reactions. I have ran across a few hostile peeps,
but they don't affect me personally. One time this road rage
man was so upset with his life & as for me I was just in his way
as he passed me on a no passing zone, voicing profanities at me lol
and I know it's wrong but I sorta laughed when I seen the cop
pull him over...it's crazy why people hang onto angryness!
& in road rage those people can turn deadly...it's a shame

John Michael,

I cannot tell you how much I love and admire your Christian take on "somebody done me wrong song" poetry. BRAVO!!! I hummed this poem and played with it a bit and it is my humble opinion that this work could easily be transformed into a Christian, country kinda sounding song. An excellent five star poem from the heart of a good, God fearing man.

P.S. I have not written or reviewed any work on AD for months now, but something told me to read your latest poem. I have suffered for three months with sudden onset Amnesia and I am still getting my memory back in little pieces. I would be honored if you would put me on your prayer list, my friend.

If only mankind could learn to live like that.
