“Cruelty has cursed the human family for countless ages.

It is almost impossible for one to be cruel to animals and kind to humans.

If our children are permitted to be cruel to their pets and to other animals,

They easily learn to get the same pleasure from the misery of fellow humans.”

Fred A. McGran

As I was out looking for Hobo

Who was wandering the tracks

Another human 350 miles east

Perpetuated a most heinous act

He tied three dogs to some tracks

And rejoiced in their agony to come

He wanted to videotape their demise

Two perished, the train spared only one

He ran off when he was spotted by a railroad worker

The surviving canine, was taken to a Cleveland pound

A sweet and innocent dog, that has been named ‘Chessie’

Law enforcement has no leads, this killer has not been found

But even if he is caught, our nation cares little about animal cruelty

The most that he will get, is a slap on the wrist, and a miniscule fine

We’ve even made vicious dog fighters, into modern day role models

We truly are a self-centered species; we sadly live in horrendous times

A dog fighting pro football player is a role model for our children

Government sanctioned wolf hunters blog about their ‘exciting kills’

Children today set kittens on fire because they’ve heard its lots of fun

An adult human being, ties innocents to railroad tracks, seeking a thrill

“To inflict such cruelties on defenseless creatures, or to condone such acts,

Is to abuse one of the cardinal tenets of a civilized society - reverence for life.”

Mr. Ed ~

Misery unending to the person who tied these beautiful dogs

to the tracks and filmed their horrible death. 'Reverence

for life' be a theme for schools and public awareness.

How could killing wolves from a helicopter be exciting in any way, shape or form...I read about that Ohio thing, I don't see the "excitement" garnered by anyone killing an animal of any type

“Let them eat dog.” Better yet. Any person found killing an animal like you have described should be forced to eat that animal, skin care and all (properly prepared) regardless of how putrid it may have become. Our system of justice, based on innocence before guilt and legal defense, makes it difficult for the punishment to match the crime.

This makes me sick to my stomach! That "BASTARD" deserves the same treatment he inflicted on those poor innocent creatures. What kind of animal would do such a cruel thing! The answer is "no" animal would...only a sick human being would....

What is wrong with the human psyche...animals bring comfort
and joy to thousands. Harming an animal for any reason is
cruelty at its highest and laws need to be changed.
Thank you

In many lores.....the story ends with and we will see what happens to the world by the way the generation treats the animals......no wonder we think we are doomed. I agree stricter laws must be made to protect the animals. It makes me sick that someone could tie dogs to the tracks....too bad this cannot be done to him ...but in the respects of karma...it will happen to him the justice of the Spirit never forgets.

He, They, will see the horror in their eyes, just before they go to hell I hope. There is I guess also a relationship, of all the movie pictures in theater, and tv, that highlight such acts as entertainment, and guess what? For the movie moghuls to make a buck, no? But I believe the bigger criminals are our moraly bankrupt legislators, they too, for lack of courage, and greed of ego, and money, have not passed the needed laws. I see the Rambo culture every day, it's disgusting, fat bellied whizing males, and others in uniforms, spending money on weapons to loose on innocent creatures in the bush. I could see if they needed to eat, or meat were scarce, no, it's the thrill of killing, sport it is not, for in sport the opponent would be given a fair advantage. The whole idea, I am bigger, stronger, and smarter than you, and therefore I am allowed, supported by law, religion, and of course the ever present ego.Bless ya!

Dear Ed,

I have not heard of these acts of cruelness and insanity.
But then History does have a way of repeating itself.
The Romans built arenas of entertainment of beast verses men.
But at least the beast would have a chance to live now and again.
Still we are killing our own race because of what they believe.
This world is not progressing; it's hatred is hard to conceive!
I know that love for God is the answer because if we follow His ways.
We cannot kill another being if we love them, that would be insane!

GOD bless you!

John Michael Domino
