After we met

I never knew

I would fall

In love with you

You proclaimed

Your love first

I followed suit

You showered

Me with a love

So profound

It turned me around

Like a child's top

The exuberance I felt

And still do-

The words you speak

You know what they do

To my mind and body

I love you... ... ...

It can come at the most
unexpected moments. Then
it cradles us in its arms
and we wonder where has it
been all this time.

It comes when it is meant
to come, and when it does
it will be the most glorious
of experiences that has come

I make sure I never fall in love, but
I fell once, ok twice, I forget actually...
I was tripped too though...no wait I did the tripping
ha ha does puppy love count?
I really really fell for him, silly 14 year old I was :)
I love love's metaphors :) Love is just soooo utterly beautiful
& fun & passionate & endearing & playful...and you got it!!
Words.....sighhh yes the words!!!!

There is a duality that comes out of your poem. While women fall in love with words they hear, men tend to fall in love with action rather than words.

Hence the problem. Why love can be so complicated sometimes, when it should be quite simple like your poem.
