Although tornadoes are nothing to celebrate, they do provide images removed from the everyday variety. The conundrum of weather remains at an all time high for us common folk, and chances are there’s another twister-spectacle just around the corner to confuse us more, or maybe just dazzle us with more inordinate images.

Tornado Stew

Crazed Storm chasers speed
So many worlds disappear
High above
An ancient brass bed
Its mattress in tow
Lovers embraced
Mummified in sheets

Ahead the flurry
Flatbed and petrol trucks
Sashay between
Open CinZano umbrellas
Like dandelion helicopters rising
Sonic drive-in signs
And burger buns
Smash ups aflight

All the while

The humble ant
Retains his forever-seat afloat
As Nature's "Ride of the Valkyrie"
Merges with the chorus roar
Of metal and wood
Wind and water
Like a million lions
Tumbling over the edge of Niagara  Falls

Oh so many late comers
Caught up in the barn yard opera
Long horn cattle
Some running in place
Others in flailing madness
The disturbance of their effort
But a table fan factor
In a twister's anger

"Like chickens with their heads cut off"
Storm chasers muse
Having managed to live through it all before
They pray for just one more avoidance
In becoming part of tornado stew

the images here, Odin, are exceptional,
they run riot almost but yet are tempered
by your craft;
this is fine, fine indeed

You have provided a whole gamut of catastrophic results of tornadic activity. Having never seen one, I feel somewhat robbed of the experience. However, to have experienced all that you love taken away 5 min. must be devastating for those that have had to go through such terrible destruction. Even when people survive physical injury, lifetimes are blown away in the wind.

Stunning for its imagery and banquet of sounds!

Storm chasers cheat death. They thrive on the excitement of killer storms. That is not me. But once upon a time I thrived on the mean streets of America. There's not that much difference between the two.

Many pray to see one......once seen rarely does one want that experience again ....except for the chaser living on the excitment of such storm...and wishing to be the one that finds the answer on how to stop it. You have caught up the experience of the tornado in a very unique way.
