Dearest Sovereign Lord
Please bring me
to your fragrant meadows,
where I may lay at your feet.
Inside the perfumes of roses, and
the sacred lilies upon eternality’s reef…
Allow my soul to
sing for you, gracil and
boisterous as it may be; Across
this great divide encompassing, all
that you have meant for me…
May I pluck for you
these ripe olives, from the
vine of heaven’s gate; Adorning
the vintage of your sacred bounty,
rejoicing upon your heavenly estate…
Allow me to
weave these yucca
baskets, to cradle, and to
carry all that you may befall; In
servitudes of my obedient abeyances,
Dearest Sovereign Lord, to you my soul
forevermore calls…
