                            ~  Emerald Garden ~

Why does thou sit upon heated eaves

Little bird wash thy breast in hollow spout

Sweet and low your music I hear to stir

Wisely by him who tamed my heart

               Beneath the Mimosa canopy

Soft lot of grass to pillow

               Movements thrice  to angelic rays

               Even glow when daylight leaves

Passionate throbs that bid warm tear

The page I read to my humble eaves

I sometimes dream to stir the love

              Thou alone with thee

Emerald Garden paths cool and sweet

              To catch the gentle eye

Its brightest image of moving things
