There's a light on the horizon
Always been there calling to me
Predicting what the future holds
Telling us of new hope to be
For too long I refused to look
It made no sense to me at all
Why was the light calling to me
I completely ignored its call
Then one day an awakening
My life's blood was slipping away
The doc said there was little hope
And right then I began to pray
"Dear God, I've had no use for You
Yet I'm told that You still love me
If what they say is the real truth
Place Your healing power on me
That day the Lord heard me praying
As He brought me under His care
Gave the gift of a miracle
Now all His love I freely share
In the hard times when things are rough
God is only a prayer away
And when times are good don't forget
To give Him all thanks as you pray
Look for the Light on the horizon
It is the Light of The Risen Son
Simply believe His every word
And all of your battles can be won
Not in this life? Matters not my friends
This trail we're on is simply a trial
Leading us to our own trail's end
When we will walk the Eternal mile

Hey Paul,
If one poem can get you a ticket to heaven, "A Light on the Horizon" is the one. If this one does not wake up the faithless crowd then I don't know what will.
God Bless you brother!
