The secret to Life
|
Life’s Secret
The oldest of seven boys
I knew little about women
Just us boys and our toys
With Mother we became men.
Seventeen I met Peg
45 years later my wife
For her love never had to beg
Supporting me all her life.
35 years in business side by side
Blessed with daughters two
Working with us gave us pride
With lots of love like daughters do.
Married to men we love too
Many struggles we all got through
United we stand as families do
Now two granddaughters we love too.
At times we wonder what it’s all about
Struggles in business, will we last
Now I’m old but have no doubt
When I’m gone, they will love the past.
The lesson in this poem I write
Love and family are first in life
You have to struggle yes have to fight
But start off right with a lovely wife.
United you stand, divided you fall
A family united can stand up tall
Win life’s game like a game of ball
A team UNITED can WIN it ALL !!
