Yet One More Telephone Call,
About Another Abandoned Waif;
I Found Him Under The Blue Moon,
So Sad and Lonely; But Now, He’s Safe.
Blue Moon, I saw him lying there under you, so all alone
Without a dream in his heart, without a love of his own
Blue Moon, you knew why he was there
You surely heard him howling in the night
He was abandoned in the woods, no one cared
And then suddenly there appeared before him
A human being, that he hoped was a friend
He heard me whisper “It’s gonna be all right.”
And now, his lonely nightmare, was at an end
Blue Moon, now he’s no longer alone
Without a dream in his heart
Without a love of his very own
Tonight, he has a loving new home
One of my neighbors fell in love with him
‘Woody’ is now getting the love he needs
The Blue Moon, led me right to his location
It was a wonderful night, for him and for me
Yet One More Telephone Call,
About Another Abandoned Waif;
I Found Him Under The Blue Moon,
So Sad and Lonely; But Now, He’s Safe.
