|I LOVE this, Morgan. I appreciate your personification of August. Great stuff. I invite you to read my poem, "Death of August" as yours here brought me back to some verses that I penned about that month on the edge of autumn and the chilly days coming. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

|Golden slumbers of August. Close your eyes and float like a leaf. Sensuous poem that awakens dormant senses.|

|In the heartland, we used to be glad to get rid of the “dog days” of summer. But now that I live near the coast, no one can deny that feeling when beach water warms up. As you so beautifully point out, only the darkness of winter follows.

|My least favorite month since I was a child. It's been brutal down here. 95 - 105 with sweltering humidity. Your poem, MM, almost makes me want to make peace with it. r|

|Morgan, This is beautiful! I am thankful it eases us in, though Autumn is another stunning bridge to take me toooooo winter! Gotta say, I love the change of seasons for different reasons :) but oh, so sad to see August go!|

|Oh my, I can feel every word in this most telling poem.
Just coming out of the Blue Moon energy, feeling somewhat dazed and blinded by the brilliant sunshine today, I don't even want to imagine the end of summer and beginning of the fall season. Let's relish in the final days of summer and then let go and fall into the next season. Go have a glorious sunshinny day tomorrrow, and then let's talk about the fall...Love your poem it really made me stand up and listen but not change my attitude about summer sunshine at least till I go back to work on Tuesday!!
Wonderful work my friend,
Peace, love and brilliant sunshine,

|It's always interesting for me to read about the seasons and realize more often than not that many don't attach deeper meaning to those changes that that of clock changes, temperature and foliage. Here, both your text and subtext offer a sensual picture of ways seasons affect our mood, all our senses, and most importantly, how time has a personality we owe to ourselves to look into and appreciate more.|
