I saw this cat in Beijing. It has no home apart from the park, but people
feed these park cats regularly and shelter is provided in winter.

Being homeless just isn't the same anymore!

Heterochromatic, apparently, is the medical term for different-colored eyes.
Kinda weird ... you walk a dark road when you follow cat's eyes. :-)

PARK CAT

Pure white cat
like the Countess of Groan's
Eyes yellow and sapphire blue.

†Beautiful white cat,
do you belong to the empress dowager?
So regal you look
with your different colored eyes
but you're homeless, a forager.

Uncommon and royal
though you're here in the park
being photographed
by this one and that.

Written in your quirky brilliant signature style, Kenny! I'm always entranced from your first word to your last, and then this cat is gorgeous, those eyes!

such a lovely short work, Kenny,
with acute perception and great reference;

Oh Kenny! I love the way you choose (or are inspired) to share very special "event" or "moments" in your journey. Yesterday, my sweet one and I were at the airport in Punta Cana (coming back from my eldest daughter's wedding) and there were two lovely felines wandering about. Your poem is most apt and timely and I thank you for sharing it. Love, peace, and best wishes to you, my friend,

Isn't it wonderful that we can go to Beijing and see this cat, the pandas in their natural environment, and the Great Wall? The world is opening up regardless of ideology.

That cat resides next door, only his eyes are both green.
