Partnerships in life require more focus and objective selfishness than most ever accept. To model one’s aspiration and eventual contract through the influence provided by media’s atop-a soap-box promotion of “celebrity" marriage and other varied business contracts is to endorse a mockery of the institution of “commitment." Again, we’re talking all contracts, social and legal, not just the institution of marriage. However, marriage, in particular, is rapidly becoming society’s primary fraud, i.e., the institutionalizing of deeply buried agendas is becoming the norm. For those of us who have come out of such battle zones better for the experience, this rant maybe is justified…maybe not. What the hell do I know…except what “I do know.

To starve is no fun
to diet is unnatural
to gorge is a pain
then there's

Same ol'

Eyes at a certain point
desire to shop for fresh nourishment
the need to feel the pastiche
of colors that blend
a feast of texture
qualities that forever prevail
then there's

Same ol'

Eyes get tired alas
not from remaining aware
or from life's Unfamiliar rendered dry
but from Love's crop gone Factory
with shelf-life guaranteed
by merely a new wrap
an extended expiration

Works with a knife
in a needle
even a drill bit
finger-walking-miracle goo
by the tub
you know

Same ol'

Rushed to the nearest
mode of delivery
markets galore
candy to see
maybe to touch
always to lure

Our eyes at a certain point
can't digest so much Familiar
no-taste bland
and especially such processed...

What do they call that?
something that's been chewed
for so long
flavor gone
juices dry
only fibrous waste left

Offerings worthy of cud
cud in a skirt
gender ignorant
cud is cud
metaphorically sealed
Wall Street
filibustering whatever
Senate floor
marble floor
flowered weddings

Maybe time for genetic splicing
balancing brawn
with untainted brains
roots with sunshine
Stop & Shop with a facelift

always will be
the muse of sustenance

makes no difference
preference anyone?

There's enough out there
demand some nourishment
mother always said
it's what's inside that counts

Shuck the packaging

Time to test

Naturally grown
in truth

But beware

Could be just another
Same ol'

nice rant. Respect is a word many lack in usage in any relationship. I cringe at the TV, in particular some of the kid geared shows. ...and then there is always simply crazy, never mind me me me, the real psycho narcissist, believe me, if you've met a true one you will never forget it.

Good one, Odinsan. Swallowed, regurgitated, chewed, swallowed, ad infinitum; cud kinda turns a thinking mans stomach. i think, given all the weird freakish Egyptian petroglyphs and paintings, that genetic experimentation has already been 'toyed with' in antiquity. Time to get outa the city and back to the mountains and lakes and rivers and streams. This friday we're heading up for almost three weeks. Getting away from the white noise and the pollution and the freakyzoids does wonders for the attitude and synaptic activity. peace ...
