A tear drop A love that dies
A heart that breaks
All because of a guy
Who was a mistake

I'll be crying in the rain
Hoping it will wash away my pain

I gave you my heart,
with tender love and care
All you did was drop it,
And walk away as if you didn't even care

For the last time
I look into your eyes
Wondering if what you said
Wasn't all just lies

I loved you from the start
All you gave me was a broken heart
Your gentle touch and tender kiss
Are some of the things I will always miss

But without warning you said goodbye
I wanted you so much
Hate how you feel my high
So farewell tough guy

The last line sounds like a determined of good courage. This too will pass away.

A very touching poem, Carrie; very emotionally effective and appealing. As a reader, I can definitely identify with the painful experience you write about.

Definitely time to move on. You are showing the signs of it already. Put it down in a poem and leave it there. More life ahead.
