A Close Encounter?

Hope you enjoy this piece that's a bit different for me.

Early this morning, two-sixteen
It was the last call of the night
Picking six up on W. Shore Road
Suddenly there, an awful sight

Not very far in front of him
People blocking the road ahead
No way they were his pick up
That's when he felt an awful dread

He slowed and came to a full stop
They came to the car on both sides
Something crawling inside of him
He felt a need to run and hide

As he began to back up the car
Something in back, blocking his way

It seemed to be floating on air
And he quickly started to pray

It looked just like a movie prop
Shaped like a disc, shiny and bright
A ramp came down from its belly

From deep inside came a bright light

Close encounter of the third kind?
There is no way that this can be
After all, these people weren't green

The lights so bright he couldn't see

A force that he couldn't resist
Told him to get out of the car
A thing reached out and touched his hand
Said, "Don't worry, we won't go far."

Suddenly he was on the moon
Stars shining brightly all around
He saw the Earth deep out in space
Scared to death he'd never be found

Then a peaceful thought came to mind
Angels had taken him away
Somehow back on Earth he had died
Once again he began to pray

Then just as quickly it ended
He was back inside of the car
Maybe it was just a bad dream

The moon shone in the sky afar

And then a new question arose
Did it happen, like on TV?
Or was it simply imagined
Guess we'll just have to wait and see

Tune in again again another day
Unless I'm in the twilight zone
I'll tell you the rest of the tale
Not about ET phoning home

It is a bit different for you, but something you should explore more often because it was quite captivating. Patrick

Hey Paul,

I like this kind of stuff. I also like the fact that Christians are aliens because we are truly not of this world.

Amen brother!
