'Ran into an old friend who's heart had been broken by a woman he had given his heart to.......these words just rolled from the pen.

I saw you yesterday
Your smile had gone away
I didn't know that you
Had been what you'd been through

That smile that everyone
Had known bright as the sun
Hidden by an eclipse
Shattered by lying lips

You tried to act the same
You tried to hide your shame
There was no shame to hide
For she had left your side

You treated her like gold
You gave to her your soul
She knew not what love was
You blamed yourself because

Someone you called your friend
You could not comprehend
That he had been the one
Who took away your sun

I heard the other day
She'd done him the same way
Now he his smile has lost
To her ah what a cost

Based on what I read, she sounds like quite a vamp, or at least quite predatory. Looks like she's leaving quite a bit of wreckage in her wake––for goodness sake!

i empathize with your friend and his taken in by the same woman, there have been women who felt the same. some feel this way for years and are not left it can be a destroying thing when only one feels the love.....then again it can be the most blessed thing we are ever granted.

Jezebel's can bend men's minds and hearts by rookery and trickery, and a well-turned calf. We men have our Don Juan's and turn about is fair play. However, and dammit, people's lives are shattered and some of them can't find the will to recover. Love can be mo'-f**ker more times than not. Hoping your friend can find the grit to get over this with as minor damage as possible.
