              ~~   Sweet Notes ~~

        Tingling notes of the triangle

        Crystal forte's of the oboe

        Drum beat resounding waterfall dreams

        Compelling the reminising base

        Violin bows graceful swail

        Symphony of art to grace

The heart in love 'je  'taime

        Tenderness all to the moment

Magnificant the love notes for all time

        Treasure romance of the melody

Sweet love plays in our eyes

Hearts two as one ever so to reminise

        Symphony of art
and crystal dreams

I totally love the music in language and love the language that's conveyed through music, Mary Ann. This is therefore a lovely treat for me this evening - particularly if played out between two harmonised hearts and minds! xx

As you write the words to the accomplishment of music, you play on our tender hearts as you leave us spellbound by the symphony of love's sweet song. Absolutely beautiful Mary Ann; I so enjoyed this post.

...amid the lull, the lilt, the lingering lash caresses a lid and the glance of a gorgeous Gershwin lyric cascades from the keyboard... here there was music, and in a poem of precious purport... here there were cadences calling in song... here there were notes soft, intense, and long... here was the call, the song of the band... the chorus, the lift and the fall of a delicate hand... here was a poem, here was a psalm, here was a balm to soothe the hurried ear, a calm to quiet the hectic eye... where image was sound, and sound was sense, and sense made itself felt, rich and dense... here "Sweet Notes" measured melt on the tongue as the meter and rhythm blend into one... here we will sit and take in this poem, give her the reins, let her gallop home.

Thanks for this, Mary Ann.

Your work is always uniquely imaged and phrased. And the warmth of passion you experience writing is very evident; at least to me it is. What a blessing, Lady Mary Ann, to have a poetic voice that is all yours. Hoping all is well. Peace ... richard
