Fire side musings of my dear Maine Coon Cat.

Just an ole barn cat

That wanders in now and then.

Jumps gently to my lap,

Our favorite chair is by the fire.

He purrs and snuggles, snuggles and purrs.

He’s a bucket of comfort, simple understanding and love.

Just an ole barn cat

He doesn’t ask for much

A little scratch behind the ears,

Some food and affection.

He massages my soul with his big coon paws,

While preening and cleaning his thick Maine coon cat fur.

Ole lazy green eyes, has found a home

In an old log cabin in quaint Bridgton Town.

He’s more than a cat in a strange kind of way,

This ole tom is both family and friend.

I don't have a barn; I don't have a cat; but I would love to, and I love this story of your "family and friend" cat!
I like your line, "He massages my soul with his big coon paws." Such a peaceful impression you leave.

He sounds marvelous, and I have an old Maine Coon just like him.
