Emptied with nothing to fulfill me,
Lost with no sense of direction,
Searching for a way to rise up,
No strength to move forward.
Standing alone with nobody to hold my hand,
Listening for a kind voice to encourage me,
Hopeless with no sense of peace.
Why am I alone?
I cry out for an overflow,
I am walking without life,
But I look up only to see
My father’s hand reaching out to pull me up,
As I wipe away my tears
I hear him say, “Restoration.”
Now I see my purpose
For it was greater than my pain,
I am given my directions
And I am fulfilled with an unconditional love,
You see I had to lose to be restored.
