And I will sleep with the ghosts

I'm a confirmed bachelor and sometimes I feel guilty about this. But then again, I read about the marital difficulties of old classmates and neighbors and sometimes, I'm not so sure that I should regret not tying the knot.

 Married high school boyfriend,

divorced high school boyfriend.

The love of my life turned out to

be the louse of my life.

Married with a baby

and a baby on the way,

but needs more

than one woman.

Seeing you again

only this time with him

stick the knife in

and twist it about.

All my friends say

it's easy to fake a smile

on Friday night

with somebody else.

These are hard times for lovers

people say I need to be

me without you.

And I will go home

all alone and cry

over someone

I haven't seen since...

Sadly, the theme that you express via your verses is all too common in this world/life, Steve. Love and peace to you,

Regis
