Sixteen years before--
Soul gash, mad dash, mush mish mash . . .
Hope"s flame extinguished.

This brings up so many feelings for me... I have a son who passed away 16 years ago--leaving in his wake a soul gash, a mad dash to save my life, and hope on many levels was extinguished...
But... hope and love and peace can be resurrected, and in time, so can life...

| Such is the mixed blood-rush of circumstance amid which too many young hearts and minds are forever tarnished, blemished or bruised, Dawn. You conjure so many feelings and images with so few words. You make me consider where, in fact, hope actually resides within our mortal frames; where it grows and what its source is. Very well done. xx |
