Rainbow's End

I was at the rainbow's end,

And carried a pot of gold.

I didn't know way back then,

What was at the end.

Now I know the story,

And wondered how it started.

But I can tell you it's a fake

There ain't no pot of gold.

The pot I had I did not find,

And the gold was all my own.

So if you travel to rainbow's end,

You'll find there is no gold.

Aye agreeing with Ronald Hull :) being an Irish Lady
But of course we have to find our own pot o' gold
and treasures within us and around us and you know
what I mean George :)

I think it's old Irish folklore like a leprechaun's money. A rainbow is a truly glorious sight and regardless of what's at its end, the thought is golden.
