I think I or someone else may have used this image before but it just seemed to fit the poem so well...

Backdrop of sorrow

picture of fool who believed

he could share his love

Hangs in dim corner

where hardly anyone sees

tear tracks in the dust

Nobody to blame

cruel dark brush strokes of fate

life’s painted portrait…

Love the painting; love your poem even more.

Sad, but it is always a joy to read your work.

Hope this finds you and yours thriving, Fee. And then some!! Sorry I've been out of touch. Downs almost make you forget the ups at times, don't they.

My mother would have shouted that I am being overdramatic. But...been hard since Ray's health took a downturn. He's having surgery the 20th. Hope it helps.

Love always,

Pea

It's hard to put your love out there again once it has been stomped on. It's not that we are fools if we do.....it just plain hurts to imagine that it will happen again. It takes a lot of courage to give someone our love once it has.

Love ya!

Love is a many splendered thing and unless
we don't share our love we never know even
if it is unwanted for we are all loving
creatures not fools my dear Fee

Painful the feeling of not having it returned

Hugs
