| It's good to be reminded that the origins of Halloween are far removed from the commercial manifestation today. In Celtic culture it's called Samhain; the feis or feast day when the door to the other world opens to let the souls of the dead pass through. I like your idea that we the haunted may soon become those who haunt. |

Thanks for the history lesson. I was wondering where all that strange behavior came from. There is always send historical reasons for the rituals we find so amusing and timeless.
