My Twill is Tasted: I Mean…My Tale is Twisted
by John Rayburn

A demonstration of how such stories as Aesop's Fables, student word play, inadvertent slips of the lip can contribute to hilarious verbal and written language mishaps...

Hope you enjoy...)

Play For Me A Memory

she hears the whisper
of springtime's breath and the
stillness of summer heat... listens

to autumn winds' brilliant
aria, a kaleidoscope of color
slipping softly into winter's

silence... and in this quiet
is heard a love song
so delicately sung, so infinitely

tender that it lingers long
after the echo of seasons'
passing... and she weeps

her tears and...remembers
'sing to me... sweet music,
play for me a memory'

This poem has a very special poetic voice that talks to one's internal ears, and touches one's heart... "Play For Me A Memory" sings with a mellifluous voice.

I did enjoye the reading of "Play For Me A Memory" for its uniqueness and poetic sustainability.

Healthy blissful evening, milady Poet!

In respect and admiration,

There is a certain sadness, for it made me remember, “Silent Spring,” and all that it implied. Let's hope mother nature wins this race.

A tear could fall reading these gently sad words. Gentle and sad are not words I usually think of together but your style of writing makes me think of both. This piece is lovely, and I did enjoy it, thank you. Be well, Kathy
