Every person we meet on our path is sent to us, to teach us something.

We met each other by mistake
-a moment of insanity-
I was a dreamer, floating on,
and you provided gravity.

Two old souls, two different paths
-one blissful point of meeting-
Throughout my lifetimes, I have learnt
that all the things are fleeting

You tethered me, I gave you dreams,
we gave each other peace
but life went on, and came to end
our short moment of bliss

Do not be sad, my dearest friend,
as we go our separate ways.
Follow your path, I'll follow mine,
all souls meet - in the end.

Dana, this touched my heart. Simultaneously it speaks of connection and loss. Love and loss. You have set up a story here that the poem completes but I could see it becoming a love story as well. I feel every word is needed and enhances the poem but I love the last part the best. "Follow you path, I'll follow mine, and all souls meet-in the end. So wonderful. Be well, Kathy
