This poem was created for the book, Universal Guardians: The Royal Descendant

Life is a mysterious journey, veiled by the garment of time

Wherein this life we must wander, as we discover the small and sublime.

Wherever this road it must take us, we each decide our own way

As our journey does unfold before us, with each crossroads of

decision we weigh.

Sometimes the journey does find us, battered, bruised, and forlorn

It seems that the road is quite rocky; with the stresses of life, we are torn.

But each day brings new hope to guide us, and gives us the

strength to pull through

To continue the journey we’ve started, ever reaching for what we pursue.

And alas, the road it does take us, to new heights and to places unknown

As we discover what life has to bring us, and the

wonders to us it has shown.

We all pave the road we have taken, for those that will follow behind

And who knows where this journey will take us, it all starts with the road

in our mind.

The road is always a good metaphor for life and you have lived it well in this poem.
