My sleep time was interrupted

By a hasty call of relief.

Nature must be attended too,

For she is the chief.

You must obey her call,

Or your'll be a wet hen.

Having to change your bedding

Is for the clueless to learn.

When nature calls the first time,

Don't dally in bed.

So I rushed to the bathroom

And then back to a dry bed.

I don't always obey the call but so far no leaks. No sleep either. Tough call when lazy overrides the urge. Patrick

George, there is an old song by Jerry Gilmore & the Fireballers titled, 'Bottle of Wine' - your poem reminds me of one of the lines
in the lyrics to that song that proclaims, "spots in my bed, pains in my head, my pants are so old they shine, bottle of wine, bottle of wine, when you gonna let me get sober" - I wish you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael

Unless you've got at Texas condom. And then you can stay, warm and comfy, until the hour your bag is full and you have to empty that as well… Oh what a relief it is!
