Free falling…
Without wings or parachute
Tumbling from my picture perfect perch

If He notices it all~
From the sparrow when it falls~
Will he recognize that I need wings to soar?

Free falling…
Faster than a tiny bird can fly

Will I ever reach the earth?
Feel the solidness of dirt?
Feel firm in the relationships of life?

Free falling…
Plummeting head long to rocky shore

Stretching out my arms
As I vault through stormy skies
I can’t seem to grasp a thing to slow me down

I’m falling…
Free falling…
Without a safety net to break my fall

When I finally hit the ground
Will it end in my demise
Or will I have to try, and fall, again?

I’m falling…
Free falling…
And I have no place to safely land my head

I’m so tired of the storm
Is there shelter from the wind?
When will my falling flight definitively end?

I’m falling…
Free falling…
And I wonder as I fall,
Do you hear my heartfelt calls?
Do you recognize this sparrow when she falls?

I resonate with this poem so much, I know exactly where this came from, but you will find your feet and when you do so will you find your wings.

Emotionally resonant to any all who have fallen in one way or another, a beautiful poem and as always full of meaning. May you land softly and always have some one there to catch you

Awesome writing, Cryssa; so good to see you here!

This is marvelously intense and also strangely beautiful, and so emotionally resonant with how I, too, have been feeling lately.

I could interpret this two ways: you could be desperately falling in love with someone who does not love you or you could be falling out of life because of some tragedy or loss. Either way, I hope you find your wings and land softly.

I want to put my arms out and catch you Cryssa! What a graceful plea. It is never easy to have to wonder if anyone would notice you're in trouble. The tiredness, the questioning all come through. Bless you, Sweetie, Be well, Kathy
