Mr. Ed on Authors Den wrote a poem that struck me hard.
How can folks be so thoughtless and cold when it comes to another life?
It's beyond comprehension so I had to express it in writing.

I got word from Mr. Ed that there are folks that raise pedigree pets and keep a mommy and daddy on a noose.

Then they dump the parents when they are no longer able to produce.

The word "Savages" come to mind...

But even this word is much too kind!

How can they sleep at night?

When will this world go from wrong to right?

God save the innocent ones from such a mess!

May they be dealt with like Hitler and all the rest…

May they all turn from their evil ways!

Right now... Today!

This is what I pray...

The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.

In the end the Lion lays down with the Lamb...these are animals that God created. Creation is beautiful and it is sad that some do not respect this part of God's creation... I have three pomeranians and love them dearly! Glad you are bringing this into awareness for all to know John! God Bless Teresa Walker

The sooner we understand that we are but animals, we will be able to treat all animals as one of us and not as, so many think, that humans are superior and therefore can use animals any way they want because god gave them the right to. Dominion over animals. Ron

We have four dogs; all pedrigree. They are part of our family and are treated as such. People that run puppy mills like that aren't even human in our opinion. That is so, so sad.

Can you imagine forcing your pet to live his or her entire life in a small filthy wire cage covered in their own excrement, with no human companionship, toys, or any comfort, and no hope of ever becoming part of a family? That is exactly what life is like for a Puppy Mill breeding dog. And there are thousands of these puppy mills across our nation. Why? Because people refuse to stop purchasing puppies from pet stores, and because our lawmakers refuse to pass laws to shut them down. Help us stop this never ending cycle of horrendous cruelty that contributes to pet overpopulation and to the suffering of countless dogs. Tell everyone you know to Adopt, Don't Shop - and contact your elected officials on their behalf.
