Out there, on the dance room floor,
Stood a lonely man who dreamed for more.
With no one to call his own,
His time was spent alone at home.

But then he saw her standing there,
Was she the answer to his prayers?
She looked at him and then he knew,
For her eyes said Iím lonely too.

He went to her and took a chance,
And asked if she would like to dance.
She shyly answered that she would,
But warned she wasnít all that good.

As the song began to play,
The two of them began to sway.
To the music hand in hand,
Embraced this woman and this man.

Looking in each otherís eyes they knew,
They were each otherís dream come true .
And they went on the wings of dreams,
To a place where dreams are what they seem.

A brand new love was born that day,
A love so strong and there to stay.
A match forever so it seems,
Because two people dared to dream.

I love the simplicity. It flows easily.
All hail to romance!!!!
Ditto to Peggy, dreams do come true.
I really enjoyed this poem.
What does Shakespeare say about dreaming? Who cares? You said it all here and made it lovely and appealing to all.
