Ecclesiastes 8:15 (KJV) Then I commended mirth, because a man hath no better thing under the sun, than to eat, and to drink, and to be merry: for that shall abide with him of his labour the days of his life, which God giveth him under the sun.
***I found the story of Noah (Genesis 9:20-25) who was "seen" naked & drunk in his tent by 2 of his sons very interesting comparative to these modern times. I gather being naked back then was a sin, or sleeping naked & drunk (?) since there is allot of merriment in the bible with beer & wine. But how many of us sleep naked and think nothing of it? I know I raised my children to feel unashamed of nakedness, as I am unashamed of nudity. Some people are very conservative however. It's very interesting learning deeper meanings inside these biblical stories.
The point factor I think in the story is that the other son heard about his fathers situation & went in to protect him by "covering him up" thus God gave him a "blessing" for his action to help his father. The busy body son was given a curse for what is inside his heart. God always sees our hearts & takes notice of our "intentions"
