A Call for Peace

Now is a very good time, my friend,
To stand together, to fight, to blend
To mix our talents, to unite, come together
Let us move to end tyranny's power.

We must decree that bully’s fear
Is no longer tolerated here.
We have the right as the majority
To live safe without strife. But, are we?

Not a single nation remains in our world today,
Where the prayer for peace cannot be heard.
We are passing through a delicate era
Where even children understand peace, violence and pain.
Although we talk about love and peace,
They have become abstract concepts.
Peace has become a mirage – something we know and yet is intangible.
Peace is more than just a state of law and order or calmness;
In reality, peace is inner silence filled with the power of truth.
The Call for peace sounds deep within the inner recesses of every human being’s spirit
Because peace is our true , original nature.
It is not a quality that needs to be adopted,
But a hidden strength of the human spirit
Waiting to be recognized and harnessed.

I agree that peace should be everybody's goal, yet I see that so many people really do not want peace, they are taught to hate from birth. Vic

Jing,
this is beautiful... Yes peace is in
the reach of each one of us.
Now if we only could get them all to move in peace.
Love it Sweetie.

Peace is our original nature, but too many people believe otherwise, and others just don't seem to care. Very good, Jing, made me think a little bit more than usual:)
