Real loss only occurs when you lose something that you love more than yourself. ~ Anonymous ~

She was a wilted flower
at much too young an age
but yet her heart did cherish
those hearts in which were caged

Through many pains she suffered
too long for her young life
but yet her heart she opened
to give with all her might

She cares for all the wounded
to bring them on the mend
Nary worried for her own love
She knew best not pretend

But then so one did enter
upon her trusting heart
and even knowing better
sometimes she wasn’t smart

She poured it all into him
bust destiny prevailed
with eyes closed and pretending
too much for her she’s frail

Yet with her weakened body
her heart shall freely give
all the love within her
so others always live

She gives her love unselfish
no matter of the cost
yet told she was a burden
her temper was her loss

But will it was within her
her temper to that one
for he had so much harmed her
to never be undone

But now this wilted flower
with all her strength within
broken hearted flower
her love to others give

The fragile petals of her heart are crushed under the harm done to her. But she's not broken, just bent and she will always love again. Although she's a wilted flower, she has lost nothing of her beauty, no one can ever take away the beauty of her heart.

My heart is full of emotion and tears are in my eyes while I write this.
I love you Carol, you're beautiful

To even imagine dear Lady Lily that you life goes unfilled is hard to believe. You prevail though as stated here from your loving heart.

I bow and tip my hat to you

When you realize that you love someone more than you love yourself, that is when you need to step back and re-examine the relationship. You definitely are on the path toward pain and loss.
Sometimes one needs to suffer this kind of loss in order to learn from it and become a stronger person.
Beautifully done my dear friend!

Peace, love and light,
Amber

An exceptionally sad poem even though the circumstances did not deter you from continuing to give your love.

The photo! The poem! Sadness personified. There are those who choose to transfer their love which has been shattered unto those who are needful for the cusp of her love she offers.
