A lonely old chewed up bowling alley pencil sits around and waits for a game.
It tries to roll in front of a hand, but canít. Instead it rolls and falls on the floor.
Poor old thing is just a nub. Itís bald because it has no eraser. People come and
use it for scoring but it always gets left behind for a bigger pencil.

Afraid it will be replaced, it finds itís way under someoneís foot for attention. It
Causes the foot to slide; only making the owner angry. A woman picks it up and
it gets handled, and rubbed and she even puts it in her mouth as she absentmindedly thinks about her next strike.

This poor old stump canít have fun anymore. It looks at all the shiny bowling
balls and thinks to itself ďEven the holes on them have more fun than IĒ

Angela........you can stop your sarcastic remarks on my postings now. Sandie Angel and I are no longer a lovers. No longer a couple. No longer will write or dedicate to each other. I know this will make you happy, but I don't know why. It never was any of your business what we did OR did not do. Bill
THOUGH I PROBABLY CAN GUESS WHY.
And I enjoyed this poem...letting the reader fill in the 'holes.' Fine use of misdirection. bill
