Reality

Reality an illusion of one’s perception,
shadowed in confusion and deception,
chaotic thoughts filled with misconception,
stimulate a rage without exception

Our experiences formulate a new perspective,
causing uncertainty freeing the reflective
thoughts of what is, and if, self-consumed,
enhancing a doubt where nothing is presumed.

Our senses reveal that which we come to know,
yet perplexing of doubt cast a constant flow,
for humanity’s search is endlessly bound,
grasping for the truth that can’t be found.

Moment by moment we look to find our way,
reaching beyond what’s given each day,
never understanding the complexity of time,
nor comprehension of what’s yours or mine.

Is it real or just make believe,
and will we know the answers before we leave,
the realm of reality each day unfolds,
but it’s never ours to hold.
