a dusty road no real home
she walks along the curb
only a woman
she hears someone say
yet refuses to caste her eyes down

she serves a purpose
and offers herself
to the souls she passes
for everyone should feel loved

some will use her
some will abuse her
and some will walk away

such were the lifetimes
she was born to know
over and over and over again

but proud she is
through laughing tears
and holds on tight to the beliefs of her soul
knowing somehow…it does protect her

and now and then
the universe is kind
and knows some thing will remind her
she is also loved
