I sit at my desk
A tired drunk man
A pen in my hand
Longing for rest

The spyder he comes
And talks to me
He says he is my friend
I beg him to give me wisdom
And he tells me what to write

He takes us on a journey
My friends, my pen and my whiskey
Hell is but a blank page
And a mind empty from constant worry

The spyder he comes
And talks to me
He says he is my friend
I beg him to give me wisdom
And he tells me what to write

I stare at the eight legged beast
And fear overwhelms me
I crush him under my shoe
And seek the comfort of my dreams

The spyder he comes
And talks to me
He says he is my friend
I beg him to give me wisdom
And he tells me what to write

The madness I see
When I wake from my sleep
The writing comes to an end
As I mourn the death of a friend

And the spyder he came
And talked to me
He said he was my friend
I begged him to give me wisdom
And he told me what to write
