A MEMORY I CAN`T SEE
Dad you passed away long ago
I was to small to really know
I dreamed so many times of you
But your face won`t come through
Through the years I`ve missed you so
To be with me to watch me grow
It always hurt and made me sad
When my friends spoke of their dad
With seven children left behind
For Mom to raise without a dime
A Mother and Father she had to be
Until she passed one Christmas Eve
Dad you`d be so proud of her today
Of the many sacrifices that she made
We`ve all missed her through the years
Oh how we shed so many tears
I know you watched from up above
Because I`ve always felt your love
She tried so hard with all her might
To always teach us wrong from right
The day Our Lord takes me home
I will never again be all alone
Then when I get to his great land
I pray you both will take my hand
