What Would Life Be Like Without Me? (Written by Johnny)

What would life on Earth be like if I weren't here?
Would my family's laughter be replaced by tears?

If I were to die, how would they ever cope?
Would this world no longer be filled with hope?

How would my friends react to my inniment death?
What would mama do when I gave my last breath?

How would my siblings react to the awful news?
I bet they'd cry or get a bad case of the blues!

I bet this is how people'd react, for death is so sad;
But as for me, I am not scared; and I'd be SO glad!

For I am a child with a handicap, I have MD,
And I've had to learn to live with courage & dignity.

Because of my illness, I have had to grow up fast,
For my life here on earth really just won't last.

Doctors hold no hope; say my life is nearly through;
It is enough to make me cry and go "BOO-HOO"!

But WHY worry about that; I live for the here & now;
And I've overcome much in life..Oh, boy, and HOW!!

I am a fighter, and I have much grace and courage;
And it is other people that I want to encourage.

"Don't feel sorry for me": that is my message here;
For I am a lucky little fellow, full of good cheer!!

For if you treat me right, I can be a very good friend;
And I will always remember you, until the very end!!

I am so touched by this
people always say how limited a handicapable (thats what i call it) person is
but what the don't realize is they come with more gifts then limits.
my brother saved our family by bring us together for a common goal.
