One Breath

Can I be

Am I me

Am I here

When did it happen

I am breathing, but

My existence is taking

Place in a time and space

That I don’t understand

In a blink of an eye I can

Leave and in one quick

Breath be within the grasp

Of my own body, wanting

To touch me but then I get

Sucked back in as if I have

No right to touch, see or

Even be that close to me.

But it’s too late, because

I have already made that

Small Connection to an

Existence that I am not

Sure exists.
