Blonde locks of fine, soft flyaway hair,
And the bluest of eyes found anywhere!
A thin little body, riddled with disease;
But despite his situation, he still aims to please!
Golden wire glasses perched upon his little nose;
He looks like a little professor, do you suppose!
A dimpled smile, with a cocky, smart-kid grin;
His triumphant spirit definitely shines within!!
Has had much heartache in his little young life,
A life that has been filled with much woe and strife.
It is enough to make this little young man cry,
Especially since he is destined to get worse & die.
But pity is the LAST thing he wants in his world;
His bravery and courage are forever unfurled!
He wants to be treated with compassion and love,
And he certainly can use help from the Lord Above!
He wants to be accepted, wants to laugh and play,
And there isn't a better friend to be found today!
Has had much sickness..heart attacks, breathing..
Has nearly died many times, family is left grieving.
But somehow he has overcome all incredible odds,
And when people see him, they are always awed!
He has managed to defeat death again and again,
And yet he still goes on despite his private pain.
He is a winner, with a heart as big as the sun,
And he is well loved and appreciated by everyone!
He defines courage in each & every thing he does;
And his hope-filled world always creates a buzz!!
So next time you see Johnny in his wheelchair;
Do not cry for him; instead, show him you care!!
Don't let his disabilities scare you; he's just a child;
And all he wants is to let his love and joy run wild!
Show him compassion, love, and also inclusion;
To do so will certainly end any and all confusion!!
So what he is dying..there is always room for hope,
And it won't do HIM any good if he sees you mope!
Johnny is a goodwill ambassador & so much more;
And his message of hope has much good in store!
For he is a Child of The King, Jesus Christ--Lord..
And Telling of Him promises him many a reward!!
Yes, he may be disabled, but he is a tiny preacher,
And in his special way he is a champion & teacher!
For Johnny knows all about Jesus' Healing Touch;
He, himself, has been through so very much!!
Yet Jesus has granted Johnny a longer life of hope,
And in his heartfelt way, he's taught them to cope!!
Johnny is an inspiration, a child of the Christ King,
And it is Jesus' Gift that he hopes to bring!!

|Here's to Johnny who has probably taught more in his young life than I ever will. BTW, send my prayers to him, God is still on the Throne.
Love, Janet xoxoxoxo
