"UPTOWN" Copyright2001.Mort,Frank Jr.

Met a woman…
Wants to know…
What kinda movies,
I watch.
I coo cooler than any,
cold cucumber…
"Ro-bert Bres-son"
She says "HARD" or ‘soft’?
I say "SOFT" or ‘hard’
She says "PORN"
So we get together REALCLOSE".
Now when I come home,
late at night…
she’s waiting at,
my lobby door.
Wanting to know…

"MORE UPTOWN" Copyright2001.Mort,Frank Jr.

Wilson Ave.
See a guy…
With a shopping cart.
All his worldly belongings,
in that cart.
Treasures to him.
Trash to me.
one difference,
this dude’s cart…
is upside down!
I ask why…hesitantly!
He explains "wheels need greasing"
He further explains "can’t take the noise"
He explains all this as…
horns honk, sirens scream, &
gunshots whizz through
his life & mine.

to everyone that has responded
thank you for your time
Sorry I have not answered sooner
I have been playing with my 2 grandaughters
and laughing and seeing thru their eyes
and also thinking about what the future will bring to/for them

You can meet all kinds of characters everywhere. Uptown or downtown, it matters not.

Very interesting perception. Thanks for sharing!!!!!
