In places I pass
With fields alive and in plenty
I look for what I have not seen
For what seems like ten full life's years.
And the only way I could see you.......
Is to be blinded.
And the only way I could hear you.......
Is to be deafened.
But I can see clearly and your face is absent
My hearing is perfect but all I can hear is
The rolling seas on the pebbles.
Not a voice which I fill the sea for.
I would look over hill
Across borders and seas
If I knew I should be able to see you.
I'll look over hill-even though I know......
You won't be there.
Because I try to reinact the scene
when I had hope,
I try to believe I believe.
But there is something that cranes my neck
So I can see your face over hill
Across borders and seas.
